This course builds on the strategy skills introduced in the Writing Principles courses by focusing on real-world case studies as sources for best practices. Students work on developing communications plans and integrated campaigns. The course considers the place of communications within organizations of different sizes, including collaboration at various levels, and topics such as risk management and crisis communications. Students learn how to deploy communications strategies over a variety of platforms, including print and social media. They also learn to use metrics to evaluate campaign success.
