RAPP Research Forum @ Humber - 2018

New Research Trends and Competing Industry Demand

Wednesday April 18th 1:00pm-4:00pm (Lakeshore Campus-G Commons)

The wealth of diversity in globalization, immigration, multinational businesses and organizations has has created challenges and opportunities for designing research studies in these cross-cultural contexts. Additionally, the increasing use of internet and mobile technologies to access research populations across the globe contributes to a body of research with a cross-cultural focus. Some research challenges include knowledge of, and the sensitivity to, culture-specific ethical beliefs and other practices, facility with linguistic translation, and interpretation of participant behaviour, resulting in the potential for greater researcher bias. However, cross-cultural research also brings with it opportunities in the form of interdisciplinary and comparative studies, resulting in a researcher's ability to generate data about human behaviour, which can create deeper and far-reaching insights for organizations.

Please join us at the RAPP Research Forum @ Humber College, Wednesday, April 5, 2017, to learn more about this topic through industry speakers, student presentations and open discussions.

The Research Forum is now open.

In case you are unable to join us on Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 at the G Commons, Lakeshore Campus for the RAPP Forum, you can watch the Live Stream of the event below:
