English HeadStart Learning Resources

Hi Humber student

Welcome to HeadStart English. Headstart English is a collection of online resources to support you in your core first and second semester English courses (WRIT or ESOL). HeadStart English can also help you with your placement test.

The resources can be used in any order, at any time, and as many times as you like!

You decide through the diagnostic sections what you want to practice and then work through the exercises.

We also recommend HeadStart English as an addition to the support you can get in the Writing Centres - introduce a hyperlink here to the Writing Centres on each campus.

HeadStart English is loaded into your Blackboard site as you start your journey as a Humber student in your first semester. Please go to the link there and have a look around.

I wish you the best and let us know how you’re doing.

Good luck

Department of English.
