Deeply ingrained undesirable habits, and their kin, addictions, are scourges to mental health, social well-being, and a sense of personal freedom. Yet, what measures can be taken to overcome them? Dr. Nigel Turner, whose research focus is problem gambling, will discuss traditional and novel research methods and findings in addictions research. Dr. Turner will also address the need for early and thorough evaluation of mental health programs.
