Overview

Humber’s one-of-a-kind Sustainability Stream will support your academic journey toward a career in the green sector. You’ll expand your foundational knowledge of social equity and sustainability, earn academic credits, and gain exposure to green careers and the educational paths needed to secure a job in this sector.

More About the Sustainability Stream:

Students in the Sustainability Stream will have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership throughout the campus community by working as Sustainability Ambassadors with Humber’s Office of Sustainability. Students will also be provided with work-related and learning opportunities at the Humber Arboretum and Centre for Urban Ecology and gain Co-Curricular Record experiences in sustainability.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the program, a graduate will:

  • Develop, thorough general knowledge gained in a wide range of subjects, insight into both self and society.
  • Develop flexibility and clarity of thought and expression in order to develop communications competence to a level required by business and industry.
  • Understand and utilize critical thinking processes and problem-solving techniques.
  • Examine and evaluate various aspects of our changing society to assist in developing a sense of personal and social responsibility as a citizen in society.
  • Employ basic vocational skills drawn from the areas of the Humanities, Social and Behavioural Sciences or Vocational Studies (Business, Technology).
