Abstract
COVID-19 had one of the most devastating effects on the Canadian travel industry, with over 40% decline in tourism revenue. The report aims to explore Canadians' perceptions and behaviour across key modes of travel and identify deciding factors through a triangulated approach. The research value lies in providing an updated report combining government and private resources to help tourism organizations make informed recovery decisions. Findings indicated that despite the cautious nature of Canadians, they are eager to travel, with a preference for local tourism. The report concludes with strategic recommendations customized for different industry stakeholders like enforcing safety measures and financial incentives.
