Abstract
This project examined the relationship between climate change and sea levels on Canada’s east and west coasts for three factors: human populations living in and near the coastal areas, agriculture and farming in these areas, and the availability of land. The coastal areas of Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and Newfoundland are showing danger to human life, extinction of species, erosion of the soil, decreased production, intrusion of seawater, and other factors. The British Columbia Environment Committee outlines a plan for how to lessen the effects of sea level rise, including what people should concentrate on protecting, accommodating, relocating, or avoiding.
