Abstract
The study explores and investigates the role of ethnicity, culture, and social integration on international students' academic performance with a focus on Nigerian students. The study is limited to international students from Nigeria. The study was conducted over a period of two months. The study collected former research to constitute the background of study and literature review. Relevant data was also collected secondary sources and publicly available data. Correlational research design was adopted for the study. The study found amongst other thing, students from third world countries like Nigeria struggle to adapt to the new culture in Canada including food, weather and the way of life of people. It was recommended that students should speak more to faculties and course advisors to enable them to understand their surroundings better.
