Boost Your Math Skills is a 20-hour intensive summer camp designed to support Grade 9 students (entering grade 10) who need extra help in mathematics. This camp focuses on key topics from the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum, including number sense, algebra, linear relations, proportional reasoning, and geometry. Throughout the camp, students will engage in a combination of direct instruction, hands-on activities, and collaborative problem-solving. The learning environment will be supportive, interactive, and engaging, with a focus on individual growth and improvement. By the end of the camp, students will have a deeper understanding of Grade 9 math concepts, improved problem-solving abilities, and increased confidence in their math skills.

Dr. Kate Zhang is an experienced educator with over 20 years of teaching at Canadian universities and Humber College. She has been recognized for her commitment to teaching excellence, receiving both the Distinguished Faculty award and the "League of Innovation" award with her colleagues. Kate has a deep understanding of the gaps between high school and post-secondary math studies and has successfully worked with many first-year students to bridge those gaps. She is also actively engaged in improving math education, serving as a steering committee member at the University of Toronto's Fields Institute MathEd Forum and regularly attending math conferences to stay up to date on the latest developments.
