Placement Testing

All EAP applicants must submit a placement test to be correctly placed in an EAP level.
When you apply, Humber admissions staff will send you details of the required online placement test for EAP.
There are a number of tests you can take and use these results to submit your score to Humber.
We will then assess the result and place you in an EAP level.

The following chart shows entry score requirements for each EAP level. Students are placed in an EAP level according to the lowest individual skill score on ALL tests (not the overall score).

For example, a student with an IELTS 5.5 in Speaking and Listening, a 5.0 in Reading, and a 4.5 in Writing, will be placed in EAP Level 6. For Duolingo, a student with scores of 100 in Literacy, 115 in Comprehension, 90 in Conversation, and 80 in Production, will be placed in Level 6 based on the lowest score of 80.
